SJS Poetry Out Loud Winner

Congratulations to María Mercedes Méndez ('27), our Poetry Out Loud in-school competition winner! 


She will represent Saint John's School at Puerto Rico's semifinal, competing for a chance to advance to the national stage and win $20,000. We also applaud Miranda Jatib ('25), our second-place winner and María's runner-up, along with all our talented participants:

Saint John’s School is a non-profit, college preparatory, nonsectarian, coeducational day school founded in 1915. The school, located in a residential area of Condado, in San Juan, Puerto Rico, has an enrollment of over 800 students from pre pre-kinder to grade twelve. Instruction is mostly in English with the exception of language courses.
