From the Nurse's Office

New Families/New Students will have access to Magnus Health on July 1, 2024.
The due date for submitting all medical documentation is July 15, 2024.

Current families need to have submitted all required documentation by June 15, 2024.

Parents are responsible for completing their child's annual Magnus Health online student medical record (SMR) for the academic year 2024-2025. As this is a web-based system, you will have continuous access to your child's health record and can make updates as needed. You will also have the option to access the account after your child graduates. Due dates and notifications help parents schedule appointments.

To access the Magnus account for your child, you will log into your MySJS account and click on the tile labeled "Magnus Health Portal" on the Resources tab of your profile.

If you are having difficulty navigating the Magnus system, or have any questions regarding Magnus, please contact customer support at Magnus Health SMR by phone at (919) 502-7689 or 877-461-6831 or by email at service@magnushealthportal.com

The following documents will still be needed in their original form, once uploaded to Magnus: (Please do not send documents via email)

  • The 2024-2025 Annual Medical Examination Form is to be downloaded by parents from Magnus and completed by both the parents and the physician before being uploaded to the child's Magnus record (the form is available March 1, 2024).
  • The Annual Dental Certificate (received from your dentist's office) is valid one year from the service date. Please note the renewal date that applies to your child if submitted previously. Otherwise, the due date is June 15 - August 1, 2024.
  • PVAC-3 Form (Green Immunization Form) must be submitted in its original form, as required by the PR Department of Health and when vaccines are received (usually at ages 4,11, & 16), and only after it is first uploaded to your child's Magnus Health Record.
    • Covid, Influenza, or other vaccines are to be uploaded to Immunizations.
    • Only the original Green PVAC is to be submitted to the Nursing Office when applicable.
100% completion of Magnus school documents is a requirement for school admittance and sports participation without exception.

Please leave the required original forms with security at the Nairn entrance only if in a sealed envelope with the child's name and grade.

Any email correspondence must specify your child's name and grade in the subject line.

  • Q. How can I edit my contact information in Magnus Health?

Because Magnus Health uses the MySJS database to create parent and student accounts, any updates or changes to your contact information must take place in the MySJS system.

To update your child's Emergency Contact Information on MySJS, follow these steps:
    1. Log into MySJS and click on your child's name
    2. Click on the Contact Card tab
    3. Scroll down to the Emergency Contacts section
    4. Click the Manage Phones button
    5. There are two columns:
      1. Active - your child's existing emergency contacs
      2. Not in use - relationships that exist on your child's MySJS contact card and any phone numbers that you may have created already but are not added to the active column.
    6. In order to add an emergency contact to the "active" column, you can drag it over from the Not in Use to the Active or create it.  To create a new contact do the following:
      1. Click on the Create a new phone number link
      2. Fill out all of the fields (all are required)
      3. Click the Add Entry button
      4. After you have added all of your new emergency contacts, click the Save button.
      5. Drag the recently added new contact to the "active"contacts.
      6. Click Save.
  • Q. Who can I contact if I'm having trouble accessing Magnus Health?

If you are having difficulty navigating the Magnus system, entering data online, or if you have any other questions, please contact Magnus Health Customer Support at (919) 502-7689 Monday to Friday 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM EST or by email at service@magnushealthportal.com
  • Q. Who can I contact if I'm having trouble accessing my account in MySJS?

To log into Magnus, log first into MySJS, search for the Magnus Health tile on the Resources pages of your profile and click on it. You will be linked automatically into Magnus as a Single-Sign-on which means that you log in with the same credentials as MySJS.  If you are having trouble logging into your MySJS account, please contact our Technology Department at support@sjspr.org.
  • Q. How does the integration with MySJS work?

The integration between MySJS and Magnus Health creates a convenient Single SIgn-On (SSO) experience for parents.  After signing in to MySJS with your unique login credentials, you will be able to directly access your account in Magnus Health through the Magnus Health tile on the Resources page.
Each parent has access through their MySJS account to the Magnus Health accounts for their children. Because Magnus Health uses the MySJS database to create parent and student accounts, any updates or changes to your contact information must take place in the MySJS system.
  • Q. Is the integration between MySJS and Magnus Health secure?

The integration between MySJS and Magnus Health utilizes a secure token to sign in to Magnus from MySJS.  Each secure token is encrypted with an individual encryption key.  When Magnus receives a secure token from MySJS, it confirms that the encrypted login identification matches the identification of the requested Magnus account before allowing access.
  • Q. How secure is my child's information in the Magnus Health database?

Magnus Health employs military-level security to address the privacy and security concerns of its users.  Administrative, physical and technical safeguards, including 256 bit data encryption and 128 bit data encrypted Secure Socket Layer (SSL) systems, protect the information in the Magnus database.  Its network protection includes multiple firewalls, intrusion prevention appliances and active monitoring systems.

To read more about the safeguards, please read the Magnus Health Privacy and Security Policy.
