• I. Provide an innovative and rich experience for students to strive constantly for excellence as we prepare them for college and beyond.

  • Foster academic excellence through innovative and rich curriculum offerings that encompass the wisdom of the past while addressing the skills needed in the 21st century.  We will ensure a top-notch, evidence-based curriculum and continually make the necessary adjustments to ensure outstanding results and college placement through quantitative and qualitative data and analysis. 
  • Design a school experience where students develop critical thinking and intellectual risk-taking and learn to use those new skills in innovative ways that can improve their education, lives, community, and the world. 
  • Create an institutional mindset where students challenge themselves to maximize individual talents and reach their full potential as scholars, artists, athletes, and stewards of our community and the world. 
  • Maintain flexibility in our curriculum to challenge our top achievers. 
  • Make meaningful investments in our athletics and arts programs to ensure high achievement and impactful experiences.
  • Provide the resources and experiences for students to learn how to use emerging technologies and leverage them to further their pursuit of excellence in academics and other areas. 
  • Promote student engagement in co-curricular initiatives that enhance the whole person and encourage a growth mindset.  This will result in students who develop resilience, grow in self-knowledge, and understand the hallmarks of wellness and leading a happy life.
  • Promote continuous excellence in our faculty by implementing professional development that inspires a culture of growth among the faculty and helps them foster the academic excellence of our students.

• II. Promote an institutional culture where we become the best version of ourselves for the betterment of our community.

  • Develop a wellness program that strengthens the emotional core of our students, where feelings, desires, and the capacity for love and empathy reside.
  • Create curricular and co-curricular experiences where Saint John’s School mentors students on how to become the best version of themselves for the betterment of the community. 
  • Foster mentorship and leadership opportunities for younger students to interact with older students to build and strengthen interclass relationships, which have been one of the hallmarks of our centennial history.
  • Create programs where students willingly participate in meaningful service to others in the community and inspire an awareness that we must be good stewards of each other.
  • Provide modern and efficient facilities for a holistic educational experience, with a look and feel commensurate with the academic excellence we pursue.
  • Increase the engagement of alumni of different generations through initiatives to create a more connected network and increase participation in school events and fundraising. We will bring back traditions from our over 100-year history and make new ones that celebrate our history, reputation, and achievements of our alumni worldwide.
  • Cultivate a culture of school philanthropy to fund the initiatives needed to achieve institutional excellence.

  • Create a unique, dynamic, and integrated school experience where intellectual growth, emotional depth, and moral agency inspire and direct our students and school community.
  • Instill in our students the skills and values that will help them succeed in college and beyond.
  • Continue to prepare our students to thrive and achieve at a high level anywhere in the world as they maintain their pride in and connection to the school.
  • Foster a culture of sustainability and broad awareness about the environment and its natural resources through education, implementation, and measurement of sustainability initiatives and indicators.
  • Maximize each student’s capacity to be an ethical catalyst for change to lead lives of high purpose and thrive in an ever-changing world.
