Fifteen of our students represented us at NAIMUN LXII, the world's largest student-run Model UN conference held in one of Washington, D.C.'s most historic neighborhoods.
NAIMUN is known as the "high school championship" of the Model UN circuit, bringing together over 3,300 top delegates worldwide to debate real-world issues and develop solutions for global challenges.
We are proud of our delegation: Lorena Arcelay ('25), Mariana Bermudez-Schell ('25), Luis Cordero ('25), Alexa Giulimondi ('25), Alejandro Madero ('25), Nicolás Unanue ('25), Camilla de Iraola ('26), Uma Navarrete ('26), Mardi Roques ('26), Tatiana Santiago ('26), Lara Yassin ('26), Malena Aponte ('27), Andrea Cabrer ('27), Roni Lewy ('27), and Emma Vera ('27) for representing us at such an esteemed forum. Their participation in these global discussions exemplifies the excellence we foster at Saint John's School.
Congratulations to Camilla de Iraola and Roni Lewy for earning a Verbal Commendation in the Council of Europe Committee as the Delegation of Romania, Malena Aponte and Andrea Cabrer for receiving a Verbal Commendation in the Forum for East Asia-Latin American Cooperation (FEALAC) Committee as the Delegation of Nepal, and Uma Navarrete and Lara Yassin for earning an Honorable Mention in the INTERPOL Committee as the Delegation of Romania.
Experiences like these prepare our students to think critically, engage globally, and lead with purpose—an education far beyond the classroom.
