Bringing Puerto Rican Literature to Life

In one of the many engaging initiatives in Spanish classes, 11th-grade students brought literature to life through the novel “Póstumo el transmigrado” by Alejandro Tapia y Rivera, the father of Puerto Rican literature.

Students assumed the roles of the characters, exploring their motivations, relationships, and development throughout the plot. They also crafted reflective interview questions to spark meaningful discussions and analyze hidden messages within the narrative.

This activity is a testament to the enriching academic experiences at SJS, where we foster creativity and critical thinking, showcasing how literature can inspire deeper exploration and understanding.
